Tales of Viridia
Kobolds are short humanoids with reptilian features. What they lack in size and strength they make up for in cunning and arrogance. They worship Dragons as gods, believing themselves to be descendants of these terrible and magnificent creatures despite having absolutely nothing in common with them whatsoever. In truth, Kobolds are more likely to be a stunted magical offshoot of Gnolls. On the rare occasion that a dragon notices its Kobold cult then, assuming it doesn’t see them as an annoyance and destroy them outright, it is content to accept their ritual sacrifices as small snacks when it doesn’t feel like hunting proper, but that is about the extent of their interaction.
Kobolds are hateful of anything that isn’t themselves or a dragon, and generally tend to carry out small attacks and raids on their hated enemies (i.e. everyone perceived to be weaker than them). Sometimes they can be bullied into serving another group’s needs, but they are unreliable underlings at best. They may be cunning, but they are also spiteful, rebellious, and not armed with a great deal of intelligence.
